Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin announced at a special called fiscal court meeting Thursday morning that the county has received travel trailers to be used by local agencies when deploying to disasters.
According to McCaslin, Caldwell County has received two travel trailers from the state, which were being distributed to counties that applied for them.

He stated that the traveler trailers will be adorned with decals and are registered under the name of Caldwell County Fiscal Court. Additionally, McCaslin mentioned that these trailers are valued at around $100,000 and are considered a county asset.

click to download audioFurthermore, McCaslin updated the magistrates that he has received the final documentation for the weather sirens so he can get this process completed before the Rural Development Grant runs into the next fiscal year.
