Christie Storm Assumes Role as Caldwell Circuit Clerk on September 1


A new Caldwell Circuit Court Clerk has been appointed to replace Danny Hooks who is retiring at the end of this month.
Caldwell Chief Deputy Clerk Christie Storm has been selected by Circuit Judges James Redd and Natalie White to assume the role of Court Clerk in Caldwell County Circuit and District Courts, 56th Judicial Circuit, for the remainder of Hooks’ term.
Storm traveled to Frankfort earlier this month to take the Circuit Clerks Exam administered by the Administrative Office of the Courts and passed the required testing to be certified as qualified for the office of Caldwell Circuit Clerk.


click to download audioStorm is in her 25th year at the Circuit Clerk’s Office and started as a deputy clerk under former clerk JoAnn Newsom in 1999. She says it means a lot to her to be appointed as the Circuit Clerk and it’s where God wants her to be.


click to download audioIn 2004, Storm says another opportunity came up when she was at a conference at the lakes as a field representative for the Administrative Office of the Court. She left Newsom and traveled the state training and assisting in the implementation of the case management programs. In December 2006, she returned to Caldwell County as a Deputy Clerk, and in May 2007, Hooks selected her as his Chief Deputy Clerk.
