Golden Rule Preschool Closes

When school began this fall one building was left with the lights off and the doors locked.
Golden Rule Preschool is now vacant after over 20 years of operation. The school was opened under the leadership of the mother/daughter team Liz Ward and Missy Nelson.
In 2018, current owner/teacher Molly Thomas bought the school and operated it until the end of the past school year when she made the difficult decision not to reopen this year.

Thomas came to the preschool with years of experience in education and private business.

Thomas, lifelong resident of Princeton, is the daughter of Tommy and Joyce Lacy. She graduated from Caldwell County High School and went on to Western Kentucky University to obtain her undergraduate in birth to primary elementary education and her masters from Murray State University.

She has lost count of how many students she’s had in class over the years.

There are several people she wants to thank for helping her over the years.

Thomas encourages former students to visit with her if they ever cross paths.

Thomas is certainly open to working with children again.

Thomas is married to Marc Thomas and has one daughter, Emmy Ward. She is a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Kentucky Education Association.
Since closing the preschool, she is currently working in the Caldwell County Clerk’s office.
