A Caldwell County native is returning home to perform a concert Saturday night during the 2023 Black Patch Festival taking over downtown Princeton.
Tim Rhodes, from Fredonia, will take to Main Street in front of Ziobros at 6:00 PM on Saturday. His show will feature original music he is performing during his residency at Ole Red in Gatlinburg, including two albums.
Rhodes said he has been busy hitting the road and getting his name out there, but he’s excited to play a hometown show.
During his show, Rhodes plans to bring along a special guest, country songwriter Bobby Keel.
In addition to writing several well-known country songs, Keel, a native of Dover, Tennessee, has released a number of albums, and toured with a long list of names including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams, Jr., Confederate Railroad, and others.
The concert is free and lawn chairs and dancing are equally encouraged. Rhodes’ merch and CDs will be available on-site for purchase.
Princeton’s 2023 Black Patch Festival will take place all day Saturday, with several activities planned for the downtown area. WPKY will host a live remote from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday.
