There is a new way to close out the Black Patch Festival weekend this year, with a summertime tradition that has been moved from the hot summer heat to a cooler time of year.
Torey Hammett, from HR Ministries, tells Your WPKY News Edge that Summer Slam is back and will be held indoors this Sunday.
Hammett says that Newsong is a well-known Contemporary Christian band.
He adds that JJ Weeks, also very popular in the Christian music world, serves as a worship leader.
During the show, community members will have a chance to learn more about HR Ministries, according to Harrell Riley.
The show will start at 6:30 Sunday evening, with the doors to open at 5:30 and will take place at 300 West Main Street in Princeton. Concessions will be available starting around 4:30.
