Safe Haven and the Caldwell County Animal Shelter are partnering to host the ‘Shelter Shuffle,’ a virtual 5K run next month.
Adoption and Rescue Coordinator Barbara Baxter told Your WPKY News Edge it will cost $35 to participate.
Participants will have from October 1 -15 to complete the virtual run, but you must be registered by Sunday, September 17. Baxter added they need the support, as they are over capacity.
A 5K is equivalent to 3.1 miles, and Baxter said you can do any physical activity for that length to be counted in the digital event.
