A man and woman are facing drug trafficking and weapon charges after multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a Kuttawa residence this week.
Sheriff Brent White says the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office along with the Western KY Violent Crimes Task Force and the Eddyville Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on Locust Street around 2:00 Monday afternoon, October 2nd.
During the search, law enforcement reportedly found methamphetamine, marijuana, plastic packaging, and other items of paraphernalia consistent with illegal drug trafficking. Law enforcement also located a 20 gauge shotgun.
According to Sheriff White, both residents, 40-year old Dustin Edging and 31-year old Emma Wadley, were taken into custody and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over 2 grams of methamphetamine – firearm enhanced, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He says both Edging and Wadley are previously convicted felons.
Edging and Wadley are lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
Sheriff White says local law enforcement was assisted by the Paducah Police Department.
