Caldwell Water District Board Accepts CEO Resignation

At a special called meeting late Tuesday afternoon, the Board of the Caldwell County Water District accepted the resignation of the water district’s chief executive officer.
Board Chair Sally Hart led the meeting and called for a motion to accept the resignation of former CEO Jimmy Littlefield, which was submitted on Friday, October 13th. The motion was unanimously approved by all board members present.
When discussing the implementation of interim operation plans until a new superintendent is hired, Hart emphasized that filling such a position cannot be rushed and will require thorough exploration by the board. She noted that finding a suitable candidate for the superintendent role is a process that cannot be completed within a week.

Additionally, Hart informed the board that Princeton Water & Wastewater has presented a contract for their consideration, which proposes a working agreement between the Caldwell County Water District and Princeton Water. However, she emphasized that the board needs time to thoroughly review and consider the offer.

No action was taken on initiating and contracting interim operational plans until a new hire is made.
Hart also noted that the locks will be changed at the Caldwell County Water District office, as well as the garage and master meters and tanks, which is business protocol when a superintendent resigns.
In other action, the board unanimously approved the removal of Littlefield’s name from the signature card at First Southern Bank. The board decided to retain Jillian Slaton on the signature card and add Sally Hart, along with board members Allison Herndon and Heath Cummins.
