Caldwell County Clerk Announces General Election Information


Caldwell County Clerk Jennifer Watson-Hale on Monday provided important information regarding the dates for in-person excused and unexcused voting, as well as the designated polling places for the upcoming general election.
According to Hale, the online absentee request portal will be closing today (Tuesday). Additionally, she noted all mail-in absentee ballots must be received by the county clerk’s office no later than 6:00 on the evening of election day, November 7.
Hale explains that all parties can vote in the general election next month, which will include the races for governor, secretary of state and other state offices.


click to download audioThere are other opportunities to vote as well. She says in-person excused absentee voting will be held on October 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 and November 1 in the back office of the Caldwell County Clerk’s Office.

click to download audioIn addition, Hale explains there are three outlying precincts that are polling places for registered voters who live within these precincts who also can cast their ballot at the vote center.

Hale also wants residents to know the Caldwell County Clerk’s Office will be open on election day in order to conduct regular business.
