Caldwell Judge-Executive Announces Additional Information for Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Caldwell County Judge-Executive Kota Young has provided additional information about the 4th annual Halloween Scavenger Hunt that will take place Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in both downtown and at locations citywide.
According to Young, a record-setting 67 businesses, organizations and individuals will be participating this year.
Furthermore, he offered a few reminders about the event in a post on his Facebook page. Young says Main Street will be closed to traffic beginning at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon for the safety of trick-or-treaters. He indicates the line will begin at Ziobros and end at Newsom’s. Booths will be set up on the sidewalks, and the kids will use the street to make their candy rounds.
Judge Young announced that physical copies of this year’s map and clue sheet for the Halloween Scavenger Hunt can be obtained from the judge executive’s office in the Caldwell County Courthouse and Princeton City Hall. Additionally, on Halloween night, the map and clue sheet will be available at participating businesses.
Judge Young announced a new change for this year’s event, stating that due to the larger number of participating businesses, there will be a modification in how riddles are distributed. Specifically, only businesses and booths highlighted on the map will have riddles. He mentioned that this adjustment aims to reduce waste and improve the efficiency of the line.
Additionally, Judge Young highlighted that the majority of businesses downtown this year will be conveniently located on one side of Main Street. This arrangement aims to streamline the flow of trick-or-treaters, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to collect candy and enjoy the fun photo booth backdrops set up at the Planters Pavilion.
Lastly, Judge Young advises participants of the riddle side of the Halloween event that the secret message this year will unveil the location where they need to submit their clue sheet to be entered into a drawing for $250 worth of cash prizes. Judge Young also mentioned that a special guest would be present to collect the clue sheets.
