A Louisiana man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on KY 293 in Lyon County on Thursday.
According to Sheriff Brent White, a deputy responded to the collision on KY 293 shortly before 9:30 Thursday morning.
An investigation reportedly revealed that 74-year old David Highsmith of Zachary lost control of his pickup truck after his passenger side tires ran off the road, causing the vehicle to enter a ditch and collide with a traffic signpost.
Sheriff White says Highsmith was transported by Lyon County EMS to an area hospital for a head injury.
