The Caldwell County Middle School and Youth wrestling programs had a large group of youngsters on the mat last Friday for action at Butler Gym.
The young Tiger wrestlers came from the ranks of kindergarten to the eighth grade.
Around 100 spectators showed up for the event.
High school wrestlers Logan Brown and Justin Klidzejs refereed for the event and are in training to be junior referees.
The middle school wrestlers will be at Trigg County on Friday, Nov. 11, for their opening tournament.
The youth team finished Nov. 5 at Clarksville and placed first out of 24 teams. They had a combined score of 143 points for the tournament.
Two of the younger kids will also be wrestling in high school action Friday, Nov. 10, at Butler Gym — Bradley Asher at 157 pounds and Dawson Harris at heavyweight.
