Memories Of Fredonia Gym Celebrated With Basketball Game

Havoc at the Hive brought back many memories for former Fredonia students, players and community members as the former school gym hosted a high school game on Saturday night.

The games was actually a pre-season scrimmage between Caldwell and Crittenden Counties but the atmosphere was familiar to those attending from over 50 years ago. The Caldwell Tigers suited up in uniforms representing the Fredonia Yellowjackets and the Crittenden Rockets wore the former Frances Bulldogs jerseys. The stands were filled with spectators from both sides with some traveling to be a part of the activities.
Roy Boisture was a player for the former Fredonia school and drove 7 hours from Madison Mississippi to watch the game. He remembers the last game he attended in the gym.
