Motorists need to be aware that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close the westbound exit ramp at the I-24/U.S. 62 Eddyville-Kuttawa Exit 40 Interchange for several hours on Thursday and Friday.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd says the Interstate 24 Westbound Exit ramp to U.S. 62 will be closed for several hours for milling, and then reopen. He indicates the westbound exit ramp will close for paving starting around Noon, on Thursday, and remain closed until approximately 8:00 Friday morning, to allow the new asphalt to harden.
According to Todd, drivers also need to be aware the contractor is milling and paving along U.S. 62 through the interchange, with one lane travel in each direction.
This is part of the bridge approach and ramp milling/paving at numerous locations along Interstate 24 and Interstate 69in parts of Graves, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall and McCracken counties.
