Former Caldwell County Student Killed In Princeton Crash

A teenager was killed in a wreck on Old Madisonville Road in Princeton early Wednesday morning.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says officers responded to the wreck in the 800 block of Old Madisonville Road around 2:45 a.m. where they found a vehicle on fire and overturned in the roadway.
According to Allison, officers observed a passenger, 15-year-old Colson Mattocks of Princeton, crawling out of the vehicle. Officer Logan Payne and Officer Ryan Thacker pulled Mattocks from the car to safety. He reportedly told officers there were other occupants. 14-year-old Camarion Hall of Fredonia and 17-year-old Lucas Rowlands of Princeton were able to get out of the vehicle and attempt to get help by knocking on doors in the neighborhood. They were later located at the Princeton Police Department.
Allison reports that 14-year-old JaQuaden Glover of Paducah was pronounced dead at the scene by the Caldwell County Coroner. He says Mattocks was transported from the scene by Caldwell EMS to Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, and later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville by ambulance. Hall and Rowlands were reportedly both taken by personal owned vehicles to Caldwell Medical Center ER, where they were both treated and released.
He says the preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was southbound on Old Madisonville Road when it ran off the east side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle then reportedly traveled approximately 275 feet, struck two trees, and overturned coming to rest on its top in the roadway.
Princeton Police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
Your WPKY News Edge has learned Glover previously attended Caldwell County Public Schools, where he was a student-athlete at the middle school before transferring. He is the son of Dawnesha Wilson and JaQuan Glover.
Christ Tabernacle has announced on social media that there are no services Wednesday night, but its sanctuary will be open for all high school or middle school students at 5:30 p.m. Church officials say the youth pastor and a prayer team will be available for students.  Drinks and snacks will be available in the lobby.
