Mary Sue Baldwin Davidson, age 88, of Eddyville, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at her home.
Mary Sue was born on June 19, 1935 in Lyon County to the late William R. and James Helen McCormick Baldwin. Mary Sue retired as the legal secretary for R.T. Baker after 33 years. She was a member of Glenn’s Chapel Methodist Church. Prior to joining Glenn’s Chapel Methodist Church, Mary Sue and her husband, George, served as Methodist Youth Fellowship counselors at Eddyville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, George Edward Davidson; one daughter, Rhonda Beavers of Crittenden County; two sons, Randy Davidson of Eddyville and Reggie Davidson of Eddyville; three grandchildren, Luke (Carle) Davidson of Louisville, Lauren (Ben) Duncan of Bowling Green, Adam (Paige) Beavers of Marion; three great-grandchildren, Forrest Edward Beavers, Weston Brent Davidson, Mary Ellis Duncan.
In addition to her parents, Mary Sue is preceded in death by four sisters, Juanita Ethridge, Genetta Lancaster, Nancy Tribble and Betty Schmidt; grandson, Jacob Curtis Davidson; son-in-law, Donnie Beavers.
Mary Sue always believed in helping others. So, in lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage everyone to do the same in her memory.
Visitation for Mary Sue Davidson will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro Marty Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Glenn’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
