Caldwell County Woman Charged With Burglary In Providence

12-20-23-arrest-1

A Caldwell County woman was arrested Saturday after she allegedly stole items from inside a Providence home.

According to Providence Police, officers responded to a residence after receiving a call from a male juvenile who stated an unknown woman was inside his house when he awoke. When the juvenile confronted the woman, she reportedly left the home walking toward Hucks.

Police said the woman, later identified as Sabrina Brown, was located at the entrance to City Hall carrying a Christmas gift bag, that was determined to have been taken from the home. Police also reported that items inside the bag contained property belonging to the residence.

Police said after speaking with the parent of the juvenile, they determined that Brown was unknown and not welcome at the home.

Brown was taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary and public intoxication. She was lodged in the Webster County Jail.

Police said the property stolen from the residence was returned to the owner, and property located inside the residence that was determined to belong to Brown was returned to her at the jail.

The investigation is ongoing by Providence Police.
