Twyman O. Sims, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023, at the age of 65, in Farmington, Missouri. He was born on April 3, 1958, in Caldwell County, Kentucky. For 42 years, Twyman was a dedicated employee at Walmart, where his friendly demeanor became a staple of the community.
Twyman’s life was marked by his enduring dedication to his family and his work. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Larissa Sims of Princeton, and his son, Laryan Sims and daughter-in-law, Sadie of Pennsylvania. His memory will be treasured by his sisters, Carolyn Askew of Hopkinsville, Trevor (Dwight) Martin of Princeton, Rolanda Howard of Louisville, and Twyla Sims Williams of Gadsden, Alabama; brother, Timothy Sims of Princeton. Twyman’s joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Leasia Curry, Robert Sims, Liam Sims and Amelia Sims; great-grandchild, Josian Curry, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Twyman was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Sylvester and Gladys Sims; his son, Lawarren Sims; twin sister, Krystal Sims. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is reunited with them in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
