Sue Cotton, 81, of Princeton

Sue York Cotton, age 81, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at her home.

Sue was born on May 2, 1942, in Mexico, KY to the late Charlie and Sara Adams York. Sue was a cashier for many years at the Piggly Wiggly and Pantry in Princeton where her contagious smile brought joy to all she came in contact with. In retirement, Sue enjoyed a simple and quiet life. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and working in her yard.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Tina Oliver of Princeton; son, Charles (Jerilyn) Sundberg of North Fort Myers, FL; step-daughter, Vickie Cotton of Caldwell County; step-sons, Bobby Dean (Tracy) Cotton of Mayfield and Robert Nelson (Leslie) Cotton II of Caldwell County; sister, Charlotte (Glen) Lane of Princeton; brother, Richard (Jan) York of Caldwell County; twelve grandchildren, Garret Sundberg, Austin Sundberg, Hope Martin, Makenna Davis, David Cotton, Marinda Bradley, Clay Cotton, Trey Cotton, Kyle Cotton, Reagan Murphy, Lauren Cotton and Audrey Cotton; twenty great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nelson Cotton Sr.; and one sister, Virginia Bowers.

Visitation for Sue Cotton will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Oliver and Bro. Bobby Dean Cotton officiating. Burial will follow in Gray Cemetery in Lamasco.
