Officials with Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area have announced the bridge crossing Hematite Creek on Forest Service Road 134, Energy Lake Road is temporarily closed after an inspection.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is reportedly setting up barricades and barrels to close the bridge.
According to officials, they are currently working with the state to determine the best way to restore the bridge as quickly as possible after it received a poor rating from a recent inspection.
Hematite Trail, Long Creek Trail, Center Furnace Trail, Honer Trail and Woodlands Nature Station are still accessible by Forest Service roads 134 and 135, Mulberry Flats Road.
