Billie Traylor, 90, of Louisville

Billie Harmon Traylor, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky (formerly Princeton, KY) passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024.

He is survived by his two devoted sons -Steven R. Traylor and wife, Denise, of Louisville and Willliam Guy Traylor of New York, NY; two grandchildren – Amanda Brewer and husband Jason, Steven (Adam) Traylor and wife Jordan, and four great grandchildren – Vivienne and Hudson Brewer, Wade and Luke Harmon Traylor; sister-in-law, Phyllis Stevens Robertson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Connie Ruth Stevens Traylor; parents- Samuel P. and Katherine Cleo Utley Traylor (Princeton); and two brothers – John Traylor (Madisonville) and Henry Traylor (Princeton).

Billie proudly served his country in the 2nd armored tank division from 1952-1955 and retired after 40+ years with Air Products Service in Calvert City, KY. He enjoyed carpentry, was an avid hunter, and raised bird dogs for many years.

He braved his illness with courage and humor, and will always be remembered as a kind and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend by all those who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Morgan’s Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, January 12, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
