Caldwell Fiscal Court Approves Bid for Courthouse Annex Repairs

Caldwell County Fiscal Court approved a bid for the courthouse annex remediation and repair during Tuesday morning’s meeting.

Judge-Executive Kota Young said the Fiscal Court had received one bid for the ongoing process of repairs at the courthouse annex that is mandated by the state.

click to download audioMagistrates unanimously approved the bid of $74,750 received from IMAC Environmental, LLC in Calvert City.

 

Furthermore, Young explained they needed a motion to set a cost limit for the project.

click to download audioThe motion to not exceed $150,000 was unanimously approved.

During reports, Caldwell County Clerk Jennifer Hale said there have been some issues with the newly installed KAVIS. She said those coming to the Clerk’s Office should expect longer waiting times and she asked for patience until the bugs with the state’s new system can be worked out.

click to download audioCaldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin provided an update on the new Motorola console for Dispatch, which he’s hopeful will arrive by the end of this week.

Barbara Baxter, director of the Caldwell County Animal Shelter, also provided an update and informed magistrates they are doing well at the shelter with some recent adoptions and help from rescues.
