The Frank P Giannini Senior Citizen Center has taken on new life on select Saturday nights thanks to the effort of a local couple.
If you drive past the center located at 200 North Eagle Street on those nights you will find cars have filled the parking lots and are lined up and down the street leading up to the entrance. Gary and Teresa Jackson have led the drive to provide entertainment for area residents with a live band and dancing. According to Jackson with the help of some elected officials they have brought country music and fun to the community.

Jackson noted the first night of activities were sponsored by local businesses and individuals but now there is a small fee charged to cover the expense of the band. He added that all funds left over goes back to the Senior Center.
