CCMS Jr Beta Club Excels at State Robotics Competition

A group of students at the Caldwell County Middle School have been looking into ways to improve the future as part of the Jr Beta Club Robotics team.

The team recently competed in the State Competition displaying their robot that was created by the local group. Melinda Smith is one of the Jr Beta Club sponsors and is a science teacher at the middle school and explains the students created their own project.

click to download audioSmith noted once the students began the competition she could not help them in the presentation. She added the local team qualified to move on to the National contest.

Sam Adams said this was a tough project to build.

click to download audioAndrew Hall added when they first got to the competition the robot wasn’t working but they figured out the problem.

click to download audioAnna Urbanowski served as the set designer for the project and said they had to make changes to make it work.
