The Caldwell County Middle School Academic Team competed in a regional competition on Saturday, February 10th in Muhlenberg County.
Nine students made the trip to compete with students from 20 other school districts. Middle School Academic team coach Sonia McClung shared the students began the competition with taking a test.

McClung noted that Gary Goodaker has been officially added as an assistant coach after helping with the team for several years. She feels he brings a lot of knowledge to help the team succeed.
click to download audioShe encourages all students to consider joining the academic team next year. It is open to any student in the middle school and she feels it would benefit anyone who becomes a part of the team.
click to download audioThe state contest will be held later this month at the Galt House in Louisville. McClung wants to give a special thanks to Farmers Bank for their support this year in helping with expenses for the team.
