Caldwell 4-H Agent Announces Registration is Open for 4-H Camp

Caldwell County 4-H Agent Rhonda Jewell has announced that registration is underway for 4-H Camp.

Jewell stated that the registration deadline for 4-H Camp is April 1st, with a cost of $275 and a $50 deposit required. She emphasized that 4-H Camp, along with other camps, provides children with valuable opportunities to grow, gain independence, develop personal skills, and learn to collaborate with others.

click to download audioShe expressed that 4-H Camp offers a positive experience and recounted a story about a family who had informed her several months ago that they were planning to attend 4-H Camp.

click to download audioShe noted that for certain children, 4-H Camp may be their sole chance to experience summer activities.

click to download audioJewell mentioned that there is additional space available at 4-H Camp this year, which means will need more adult leaders.

click to download audioThe camp is open to children aged 9 to 14. Jewell mentioned that individuals aged 15 and 16 who are interested in being team leaders at 4-H Camp can obtain an application from the extension office or the Caldwell County 4-H Facebook page.

Jewell said they are continuing to make plans for 4-H Camp, with another meeting planned in the upcoming weeks where they will focus on the essentials.
