A Princeton man charged with escape after running away from the Caldwell County Jail is still at large.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday that 30-year old Gregory Munsell was taken into custody without incident in the Lone Oak area. However, the sheriff’s office provided an additional update on Wednesday stating that a further investigation revealed the male subject that was arrested by Paducah Police and believed to be Munsell, was not him. Munsell is still at large.
On Monday, Princeton Pollice reported that Munsell had been granted a furlough to a rehabilitation facility and was supposed to report to the Caldwell County Jail after completing or leaving the facility. However, when Munsell arrived at the jail and was waiting to be processed he reportedly ran out the front door without returning. Local police issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of escape.
Authorities believe Munsell is still in the Paducah/McCracken County area.
