Princeton City Council Presented Exciting Economic Development Update

The Princeton City Council received exciting economic development news during Monday night’s meeting and learned about great opportunities for the community.

Planning Commission Administrator Jenny Clark says this is an exciting time for the community because they are currently experiencing a lot of growth with a lot of job opportunities for local citizens and surrounding communities.

After discussing the ordinance annexing Adams Breezy Hill Farm into the City of Princeton to help with its growth and expansion to bring in more tourism, Clark mentioned that local entrepreneurs, Ronnie and Samantha Ortt of R & S Properties, have purchased the five sets of buildings on Harrison Street.

click to download audioAlong with some work being conducted on the old Dollar Store on Main Street, she said some other new businesses have opened in town since her last update to the council.

click to download audioAccording to Clark, Marshalls will hire anywhere from 60 to 85 employees, depending on the workload, scheduling, and availability of full-time and part-time.
