Marion and Livingston County Awarded Funding for Water Infrastructure Projects

Governor Andy Beshear announced Thursday that the city of Marion and Livingston County are among 10 projects awarded a portion of $13.2 million in funding to improve clean water and sewer infrastructure across the commonwealth.

According to Gov. Beshear, Marion will receive over $1 million for improvements, while the Livingston County Fiscal Court has been awarded $2.8 million.

She said the importance of this project cannot be overstated, and they are blessed and thankful for all the support they have received so far.

The funding comes from Kentucky’s Community Development Block Grant – Public Facilities program, which provides funding primarily to develop Kentucky’s water and wastewater systems.
