Local residents gathered at the Fredonia Valley Veterans Memorial Park in Fredonia Monday afternoon to pay respect to those who lost their lives in service to our country.
Pam Faughn shared why they hold the ceremony each year.
click to download audioThe annual event began with the Life Flight helicopter making a circle over the ceremony. Officers with the Post 103 VFW then raised a new American Flag followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Doug Keel was the speaker for the day and explained the program.
