The weather pattern in the United States is changing.
That was part of Kentucky Mesonet Outreach Manager Shane Holinde’s message with the Elkton Rotary Club last week. Holinde said the region had just emerged from an El Niño winter.
Holinde added in the Ohio Valley region, we typically see stormier weather during the La Niña pattern.
Being a meteorologist, Holinde is often asked about climate change.
He said the conditions in 2012 would likely not repeat itself this year.
