Roger K. Sherill, age 81, of Kuttawa, passed away on June 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving and adoring family.
He was born on January 20, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to his late parents, Ragel “Chick” and Ailene Louise Sherill. Roger was the proud owner and operator of Sherill Painting and Sandblasting. Outside of work, he enjoyed old country music and possessed a zest for travel. Although, his grandchildren remained one of his most treasured pastimes. He was a member of Eddyville First Baptist Church.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Phyllis Ann Pickard Sherill; two daughters, Kimberly Sherill of Kuttawa and Kathy (Mark) Hay of Floyds Knobs, IN; sister, Edith McCants of Michigan; three grandchildren, Nichole (Scott) Laffoon, Danielle Hill, and Ryan Smith; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Cartwright, Katlynn Cartwright, and Greyson Hill, and one great-great-granddaughter, Hazel Cartwright.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Bonnie Riley and Betty Bollman; and two brothers, Ray Sherill and Robert Sherill.
Graveside services will held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton with Bro. Danny Sherill is officiating.
