At Monday night’s city council meeting, there was a discussion on some confusion about spraying and weed eating in sections of Cedar Hill Cemetery.
During his department report, Public Works Director David Sullenger sought clarification regarding the spraying procedures at the cemetery.

click to download audioCouncil member Morgan Rousseau requested a copy of the minutes from the meeting to review the motion they voted on from the meeting in which Traum made her request last year.
Council member Carl Copeland asked about the weeds, to which the mayor and Sullenger responded.
click to download audioIn response to Rousseau’s request, Mayor Brock Thomas directed that a copy of the minutes be sent to all council members. He also encouraged everyone to visit the Pioneers section, which is marked with flags, and to return with ideas for further discussion, possibly at the next meeting.
During the department reports, Sullenger also informed the council that they have begun the process of spraying for mosquitoes in the city.
