The excitement is building as preparations are in full swing for the annual Dawson Springs BBQ, scheduled for later this month.
Kathy Nichols, a board member of the Dawson Springs Community Center, told WPKY’s News Edge that this year marks the 76th annual barbecue, a longstanding fundraiser that has helped support the Community Center for decades.

click to download audioIn addition to the street fair from 6:00 to 9:00 Friday night, there will be inflatables, live music by Instant Zeal, a beer & wine garden, various vendors, and old-fashioned fair games.

click to download audioPlus, Nichols says there will be a golf scramble at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park and a car show, which will begin at 8:00 that morning, along with a street dance from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
