Princeton Electric Plant Board Awarded 2024 Safety Grant from KLC

The Princeton Electric Plant Board has been presented with a 2024 Safety Grant from the Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) to help members provide services and programs that reduce liability and create safer communities.

KLC Executive Director and CEO J.D. Chaney stated in a release that they are happy to provide these grants as a service to their members to help them focus on the safety of their citizens and employees. He added that KLC and their Loss Control Department are here to help their insurance members in any way possible.

KLC officials said the nearly $1,500 grant awarded to the Princeton Electric Plant Board will be used to purchase personal protective equipment with the funds.

KLC Insurance is the largest municipal insurance program in the Commonwealth. The agency helps members enhance public safety through proactive programs and services. KLC Insurance offers a range of affordable insurance products, including liability, property, workers’ compensation, and other municipal coverage options.

The Kentucky League of Cities also provides a comprehensive array of services, including employee benefits programs, legislative advocacy, financial and municipal law services, training, community development, and various other resources designed to support cities.
