A Princeton man arrested earlier this month after a pursuit in Caldwell County is facing additional charges.
Princeton Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison says officers served a Caldwell County Arrest Warrant at the local jail shortly before 1:00 Friday afternoon on 23-year old Dawson Teague, charging him with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. He says the charges stem from an investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.
Teague was arrested on Saturday, July 13th, after Deputy Mac Englebright with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop for speeding on KY 293 South at Jo Jones Road. However, Teague reportedly fled and a pursuit ensued that continued on KY 293 South, reaching speeds over 100 mph. Police said the pursuit continued until the vehicle stopped in the parking lot of Ms. Piggy Pig’s BBQ where Teague was taken into custody.
Following his arrest, he was booked into the Caldwell County Jail on charges of fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment of a police officer, speeding, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
