Princeton Optimist Club Announces Grand Marshals for Black Patch Festival Parade

The Princeton Optimist Club has announced the Grand Marshals selected for the 2024 Black Patch Festival Parade, scheduled for Friday, September 6.

Optimist Club member George Kilgore shared with WPKY’s News Edge that they are thrilled to announce Rhonda Jewell and George Pettit as this year’s Grand Marshals.

click to download audioAccording to Kilgore, when selecting the Grand Marshals, the Princeton Optimist Club seeks individuals who have made significant contributions to the community through their dedication to agriculture, youth, or community advancement. He noted that Jewell and Pettit fit this description, having devoted their lives to benefiting the community.

Kilgore will provide more information about Rhonda Jewell and George Pettit as the Black Patch Parade approaches, which is set to begin at 5:00 Friday afternoon, September 6th.
