Billy Joe Doom, age 82, of Kuttawa passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Salem Springlake Health Center. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He loved exploring our country’s vast and varied terrain on motorcycle, boating on Lake Barkley, UK Basketball, and spending time with his granddaughter.
Survivors include one son, Joey Doom & wife, Stephanie, Lexington, KY; two sisters, Betty Sanders & husband, Don, Nashville, TN; Ramona Engler & husband, Herschel, Eddyville, KY; one brother, Jimmy Ray Doom & wife, Sue, Eddyville, KY; one granddaughter, Sarah Doom, New York, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Imogene Polk Doom.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lakeland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Davis officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
