Caldwell County Middle School Hosts Open House for 7th and 8th Graders

The Caldwell County Middle School opened the doors again Tuesday afternoon for an open house but this time it was for the incoming 7th and 8th graders and their parents.

Those attending entered the gym and instead of an assembly, they went straight to the tables set up to receive their schedules and lockers. Since they had already experienced 6th grade they were familiar with the halls and classrooms so the students led parents directly to their scheduled classes where the teachers were standing in the doorways ready to welcome them to the new school year. Students searched out their new lockers and worked to use the combinations to open the door. There was laughter and excitement in the air as students reunited with fellow classmates to begin the new school year.
