Two people were injured in a three-vehicle wreck on KY 93 in Lyon County Friday night.
Sheriff Brent White reports Deputy Michelle Kent, a Kentucky State Police trooper, and other first responder agencies were dispatched to the crash on KY 93 North of Kuttawa around 9:30 p.m.
According to Sheriff White, the investigation revealed 37-year old Charles Breedlove of Kuttawa was southbound in a pickup truck towing a trailer when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone. As he was passing another pickup truck driven by 43-year old Shawn Stallins of Princeton, he reportedly sideswiped Stallins’s truck which caused his vehicle to be pushed into a ditch on the west side of the road. Sheriff White indicates Stallins was also towing a trailer with his pickup truck.
The report states that after the collision, the trailer being towed by Breedlove became dislodged and went into the northbound lane of KY 93, which caused a head-on collision with a pickup truck driven by 50-year old Johnny Sullivan of Calvert City.
Sheriff White says Sullivan and a passenger in his vehicle were both transported by ambulance to Baptist Health in Paducah for treatment of injuries.
Breedlove was charged with reckless driving and Sheriff White indicates additional charges may be pending.
