A Princeton woman was arrested on multiple charges Wednesday, including theft and drug trafficking.

Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison reports that officers responded to a theft from a vehicle at a residence near the 100 block of East Young Street shortly after 8:30 Wednesday morning. During the investigation, he says the victim received a notification indicating that one of the credit cards stolen from the vehicle had been used at Circle K.

Officers went to Circle K, obtained video footage, and identified 24-year-old Kelsey Ford as the person who had reportedly used the stolen credit card. According to police, when Ford was located, she was found in possession of several credit cards that had been reported stolen.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers reportedly discovered several drugs in the vehicle that Ford was in at the convenience store.

Ford was taken into custody and charged with theft of credit cards, fraudulent use of a credit card, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription not in proper container, possession of a controlled substance, and her second or greater offense for trafficking meth over 2 grams. She was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
