The local Jeep Club is organizing a benefit ride for veterans on Saturday, August 31.
Michael Morris, president of the Black Patch Jeep Owners Club, announced that the ride is to raise funds and collect items for the veteran’s center in Hopkinsville.

Pennyroyal Veteran Center suggested needs list:
–Hygiene items such as body wash, razors, shaving gel, shampoo, lotion, baby powder, and alcohol-free mouthwash
–Washing machine
–Blankets
–Twin sheet sets
–Pillows
–Pillowcases
–Cups with lids
–Underwear in sizes large-2xl
–T-shirts Large-3xl
–Sweatshirts large-3xl
–Shower shoes such as slides or flip flops sizes large-2xl
–Gloves, toboggans, or scarfs
–Gift cards for Walgreens, Kroger, or Walmart. These can be used for prescriptions for clients without insurance. Not all who are eligible for a GP such as the PVC, qualify for VA insurance or state insurance.
–Microwaves, small coffee pots, and dorm-style refrigerators
