William “Larry” Kilgore, a cherished father and grandfather, passed away at 75 at his home in Caldwell County, on August 28, 2024.
Those who knew Larry understood his passion for the simple pleasures in life. He was a man whose hands were rarely still, always willing and happy to put his enjoyment of operating heavy equipment to use or work on various projects. Larry enjoyed the company of his dog, Wolf, who was a constant companion. He loved to cook and was famous for his homemade dressing and BBQs.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Debra (Stephen) Reynolds of Caldwell County; his adored grandchildren, Kalee (Cory) Woolsey and Drake Reynolds; lifelong companion, Phyllis Kilgore; and step-sister, Pat Prince.
Larry was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Martha Louise Hawkins Kilgore, his father, Pete Kilgore, his mother, Bertie Louise Groves Prince, and his step-father, Tennie Arnold Prince.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
