Lyon County officials have announced that rental fees for community buildings will increase at the start of the year, following a decision made by the Lyon County Fiscal Court last week.
According to County officials, effective January 1, 2025, rental prices for the Lee S. Jones Building and the Lee S. Jones Convention Center will increase. They acknowledged that rising costs necessitate the hike in rental fees. Additionally, the Fiscal Court has voted to make improvements to the buildings one at a time, starting with the smaller building.
The updated rental fees are as follows:
– Lee S. Jones Building: Available for rent in 2 to 6-hour blocks, from 8 AM to 2 PM and 3 PM to 9 PM. The cost is $50 for residents for a 6-hour block, $100 for non-residents for a 6-hour block, and free of charge for non-profits.
– Lee S. Jones Convention Center: Available for rent for the entire day, from 8 AM to 10 PM. The cost is $175 for residents, $250 for non-residents, and $50 for non-profits.
Officials have indicated that the site for building rentals is currently down as they implement changes. They expect it to be up and running this week, allowing you to request rentals for the remainder of 2024 and for 2025. If you have already booked the buildings for 2025, officials will contact you personally regarding your rental.
Furthermore, officials announced that upgrades have already begun at both buildings. The parking lot has been restriped, materials are on the way for refurbishing all the flower beds, and the awnings have been cleaned. Officials expressed confidence that the community will appreciate the renovations completed.
