Caldwell County Students Unite in Prayer at ‘See You at the Pole’ Event (w/PHOTOS)

Students from Caldwell County High School assembled outside on Wednesday morning for the “See You at the Pole” event.

Local church leaders, members, and parents gathered with students at the school’s flagpole as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes led a prayer, lifting up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God before the start of the school day. The event is entirely student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led.

The event is a worldwide day of student prayer that started in 1990 as a grassroots movement with just ten students praying at their school. Decades later, millions of students participate in prayer on their school campuses on the fourth Wednesday of September.

In addition to the morning event, Bro. Harrell Riley announced that there will be a “See You After the Pole” gathering at First Baptist Church on Wednesday evening. He mentioned that Terry Fant, pastor at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence, Mississippi, will be the guest speaker at the event, having flown into the Princeton-Caldwell County Airport.
