Edith Ann McKinney, age 72, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, in Nashville, TN. Born on September 13, 1952, in Caldwell County, KY, Edith’s life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the joy she brought to those around her.
Edith’s legacy is carried on by her devoted husband of 54 years, Richard Allen McKinney of Princeton, and her cherished children, Sarah Elizabeth McKinney, Richard Bragdon McKinney, and Michael Kane McKinney, all of Princeton. Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring grandchildren, Dylan, Darren, Marshall, Marlye, Harper, Brooklyn, Zane, Brianna, and Millie, as well as her great-grandchildren, Haydon, Hadley, and Cayson. She will also be fondly remembered by her loving siblings, Corrine, Sue, Douglas, and Dickie.
Edith was preceded in departure by her parents, Richard Green and Mattie Pruitt Ortt, and her siblings, Sandy, Charlene, Bobby, and Billy. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
Throughout her life, Edith dedicated herself to caring for others as a compassionate Registered Nurse. Her passion for helping people was only matched by her love for antique collecting and her active involvement in the ministry as a pastor’s wife. Edith’s unwavering love for her children and grandchildren was evident to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 11, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow at Eddy Creek Church Cemetery.
