Princeton Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking After Traffic Stop

A traffic stop on Tuesday morning led to the arrest of a Princeton for drug trafficking.

Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reported that officers stopped 47-year-old Billy Waynick on Hopkinsville Street, knowing he had a suspended driver’s license. During the stop, officers found that Waynick could not provide insurance, and a records check revealed the vehicle was not registered.

Police also reported that Waynick was found with five baggies of suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.

Waynick was taken into custody and charged with trafficking meth over 2 grams and other offenses related to insurance and registration plates. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
