Maggie Cummins, 88, of Princeton

Maggie Audale Lambert Cummins, age 88, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Maggie was born on April 13, 1936 in Lamasco to the late Jimmie and Edna Jones Lambert. Maggie was a homemaker and her hands were rarely still. Her green thumb and passion for gardening brought vibrant life to her home. The beauty of her flowers and gardens was only matched by the verses of poetry she penned. Sewing was another of Maggie’s talents, through which she crafted beautiful pieces for herself and others. Her love for the Lord was evident to all who knew her. She read and studied her bible everyday drawing strength from Him through His Word. Maggie was a member of Princeton First Baptist Church. Maggie’s kindness and loving nature made her a cherished figure, not only within her church community but also in the hearts of the children she babysat, who adored her nurturing spirit.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Jeff) Haberlock of Princeton; son, Ken (Tammy) Cummins of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Suzanne Hopper of Princeton, Mary (Jamie) Wilson of Princeton, Elizabeth Campbell (fiancé, Brett Walker) of Lyon County, Zack Cummins of Princeton, Hannah Cummins (Greg) Holden of Nicholasville, Andrew (Mandy) Cummins of Paducah, Michael (Brittany) Haberlock of Princeton, Joe Haberlock (fiancé, Jessica Conger); twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maggie is preceded in death by her husband Julius Cummins, Jr.; daughter, Connie Haberlock; three sisters, Jean Lee, Mildred Bell, and Margaret Ethridge.

Visitation for Maggie Cummins will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County with Bro. Ken Cummins officiating.
