Mathew Norwood Knight, age 31, of Kuttawa, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Panama City, FL.
Mat was born June 10, 1993 to Chad Norwood Knight and Kimberly Daugherty Simpson. He was a crane operator and enjoyed boating and hunting in his spare time. His greatest joy was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Brianna Self Knight of Kuttawa; sons, Easton Wallace of Eddyville, Lawson Knight of Kuttawa and Dalton Knight of Kuttawa; mother and step-father, Kimberly Daughtery Simpson and Jeff of Central City; father and step-mother, Chad Norwood Knight and Susan of Eddyville; sister, Meagan Frisch and husband, Ryan of Eddyville; brother, Jerod Knight of Eddyville; maternal grandmother, Karen Daughtery of Dawson Springs; maternal great-grandmother, Hilda Mitchell of Dawson Springs; paternal step-grandfather, David Shaffer and wife, Chris of Princeton; maternal step-grandmother, Jean Simpson of Central City; step-brothers, Jeffery Simpson and wife, Kelsey of Elizabethtown, Dustin Simpson of Central City and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home and also on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Baxter Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
