Bobby Merrick, 74, of Caldwell County

Bobby Joe Merrick, a lifelong resident of Caldwell County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on December 16, 1949, to the late Thomas G. and Georgie Hart Merrick.

A dedicated farmer, Bobby spent his life tending to the land he loved. His passion for agriculture was only matched by his commitment to his family and his faith. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

Bobby leaves behind his beloved wife, Deborah Dreihaupt Merrick, his step-daughter, Shelly Evans and her husband Tony of Princeton, his step-son, Bobby Jones and his wife Audrey of Clarksville, and his sister, Peggy Warfield and her husband James. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Jayden Taylor, Bettlyn Evans, Maddie Jones, Molly Jones, and Charlie Jones, as well as his nephew, Brian Ruffin, niece, Marty Jo McCarty, and great-nephew, Ethan McCarty.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, October 25, 2024 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County.
